All Murray's valuations are compliant with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and the Canadain Personal Property Appraisers Group (CPPAG) standards of practice.

You may need a Fair Market Value appraisal for estate tax purposes, estate planning, equitable distribution, or tax-deductable donations. A Fair Market Value Appraisal from Murray's is a CPPAG and USPAP compliant document stating our professional opinion of the value of your property. It will reflect the realistic resale value of the property from a willing seller to a willing buyer when both parties understand the current market.
If you are planing to insure your valuables, you will need a Replacement Value appraisal. This CPPAG and USPAP compliant document estimates the retail replacement value of your property, meaning the amount it would cost to purchase the same or similar item in the event of a loss.
A written valuation is not required if you are interested in selling at auction. Murray's provides free verbal estimates of value without obligation every Wednesday and Thursday 10am till 4pm in our auction showroom. There is no need for an appointment as there is always valuers on duty. Our Valuers will advise you on auction estimates, recommend the most appropriate sale and issue you a receipt if you wish to consign. Reserve prices can be discused with our valuers and items can be left on the day of the auction.
